Thank you for your interest in interning for the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies.

The Arava Institute is home to cutting-edge research in a number of interrelated fields of environmental concern from a trans-boundary context. Gathering leading regional and international experts who collaborate with its scientists, the Arava Institute is the premier institution for multidisciplinary environmental research in the Middle East.  

Here at the Arava Institute, we believe that nature knows no borders and that the work we do in cooperation with our regional neighbors offers a tool towards both improving the environment and building peace. We do not discuss peace for its own sake but, rather, our kind of peace-building is a reality that arises from the respectful and close relationships we build between students and between researchers in the field by working together closely on the issues that matter most to us in the region.

We have extensive experience hosting interns and have always found a way to accommodate their specific interests while receiving the benefit that the Institute needs from their assistance. We feel confident that we can assist you in reaching your learning objectives while also helping the Institute work more efficiently throughout the internship period.
