The Arava Peace and Environment Network (APEN) - the Alumni Network
The Arava Institute's vision is "to provide the Middle East a new generation of sophisticated professionals that will meet the region's environmental challenges with richer and more innovative, peace-building solutions." We go beyond the training and experience students get at the Institute by networking between and with our alumni. This Alumni network is called the Arava Peace and Environmental Network (APEN).
APEN has been able to help alumni maximize their personal and professional connections, host meetings and conferences, provide information about internship and job opportunities, and provide logistical assistance to alumni in the start up of environmental and peacebuilding projects both in their home communities and also across boundaries.
