The cast of Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Program will headline a live performance called “Comedy Without Borders” on Thursday, November 29 at Bovard Auditorium on the University of Southern California (USC) campus. The one-night-only event is being organized by Friends of the Arava Institute and will feature the uncensored standup comedy of five cast members and special guest comedians. All of the proceeds from “Comedy Without Borders” will be given to the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies (AIES).

"Sarah [Silverman] and the cast are brilliant comedians, we are grateful that they are committed to our cause and willing to use their comedy and popularity to raise awareness of the amazing work that the institute is accomplishing," David Weisberg, executive director of Friends of The Arava Institute, said in a press release. "It's only appropriate that our benefit stars [Sarah], a comedian who makes an entire living out of breaking barriers and going well beyond borders."

AIES is the premier university-level environmental teaching and research program in the Middle East. Its main goal is to prepare Palestinian, American, Israeli Arab and Jewish future leaders to solve the region's environmental issues through peaceful means. The AIES is also considered as a model program for promoting international cooperation based on the thinking that all people, regardless of their political and cultural differences, share the same environment and same environmental challenges, and that this can be a unifying force among diverse nations.

“Comedy Without Borders” will feature Laura Silverman, Steve Agee, Brian Posehn, Jay Johnston, and of course, Sarah Silverman, all of whom spearhead the cast of The Sarah Silverman Program.

On the comedy series, Sarah Silverman plays a character who talks of her absurd daily life through narrative and occasional song. Her real-life sister, Laura, plays her sister on the show, while Agee and Posehn play her neighbors. Johnston appears on the program as Officer Jay.

Tickets for “Comedy Without Borders” have been priced at $50 and are available online at www.friendsofarava.org. In addition, VIP tickets costing $200 tickets are also available. The VIP tickets include front row center seating and the chance to meet the Silverman and her costars following the live performance.
