How to apply

Dear Potential Student,

Thank you for applying to the summer course at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies.

In order to apply you must complete the following items:
  1. Basic application form completed in full.
    • Download Application Form (PDF)
    • Download Application Form (MS-Word)
  2. An essay on a separate page, please explain (in English) why you are applying to the AIES summer course.
  3. A medical reference from your physician (click here for medical reference form)
  4. 4. An academic reference from a faculty member with whom you have studied in the last year, sent directly to AIES (the academic reference form may be used or a letter can be written by the referee). Please have the referee send the reference directly to the Arava Institute.
  5. One personal reference from a person familiar with you (excluding relatives). (click here for personal reference form). Please have the referee send the reference directly to the Arava Institute.
  6. An official transcript from the university at which you most recently studied.
  7. US$50 non-refundable application fee


Please make sure that the sender's address appears on the items you mail to us. Mail items not bearing the sender's address will not be opened!
