How to Apply

Dear Potential Student,

Thank you for applying to the Arava (one semester or one year program) Program at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. In order to complete your application you must complete the following items:
  1. Basic application form completed in full
  2. US $50 application fee (US $25 for Middle Eastern applicants)
  3. An essay on a separate page, please explain (in English) why you are applying for admission to the Arava Institute. Indicate your goals in studying at the Arava Institute, and how they relate to your personal and professional aspirations.
  4. A medical reference form from your physician
  5. An academic reference from a faculty member with whom you have studied in the last year. This reference must be sent directly from the referee to the Arava Institute. The academic reference form may be used or a letter can be written by the referee
  6. One personal reference from a person familiar with you (excluding relatives). This reference must be sent directly from the referee to the Arava Institute. The personal reference form may be used or a letter can be written by the referee
  7. An official transcript from the university at which you most recently studied.
