Description

This course is intended to be a non-technical survey of the basic principles and applications of environmental law as it is practiced around the world today. The course will examine and compare some of the basic statutes enacted by various nations to deal with their environmental problems, and discuss some of the innovative ways that lawyers in various countries have 'made new law' using 'old' statutes already on the books.
