This course will give an overview of biology, covering only the very basics of most areas in biology. In addition, the course will address how the environment interacts with different aspects of biology. We will study the principles and basics of each topic, with study cases looking at their interaction with humans and the environment. We will cover the basics of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cells, physiology, zoology, botany and evolution. Students will be taught the necessary biology lexicon to enable them to understand fundamental processes in biology. Special emphasis will be given to human biology and its interaction with the environment.
