Description

The aim of the PEL seminar is to deepen the comprehension that environmental issues are regional by nature and can only be solved through regional cooperation and peaceful resolutions of the issues of land and natural resources. The students are exposed to various experiential and theoretical components of peace building. The students participate in a series of activities, guest lectures and workshops that help to provide a general understanding of coexistence initiatives in Israel today. The course includes the specific challenges these organizations face particular to the Middle East, and explores relevant contemporary issues that may not typically be part of their cultural milieu.

Topics include: Peace Education, Conflict Analysis and Communication, Minority Politics + Complexities of Multicultural Identities, and Environmental Leadership.
