Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship Program
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship Program aims to harness the potential of promising young students from the League of Arab States by financing their graduate studies in leading universities worldwide. The objective is to help reverse the region’s brain drain, and prepare the future generation of leaders, in both the public and private arenas, to produce positive change and growth within the region. Scholarships are granted to talented and committed candidates wishing to pursue a Masters degree in renowned partner universities in the region and internationally.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Fellows is the first initiative of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship Program.
Overview
The Fellows Program aims to identify talented and ambitious youth from across the region, and offer them scholarships to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), and Public Policy (MPP) at top-notch international universities. The program will cover financial costs related to tuition, books, accommodation, stipend and travel for the full duration of the Fellowship. Upon completion of their studies, the Fellows are legally bound to return to the region for at least two years of employment in the public or private sector.
Eligibility
This highly competitive program will award fellowships to qualified candidates who demonstrate leadership capabilities, dedication and commitment to the region’s human and socio-economic progress. Nationals of the 22 member countries of the League of Arab States are eligible to apply. These countries are: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros Islands, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen.
Application Procedure
To qualify for a fellowship candidates should:
--secure an acceptance to one of the aforementioned Master’s programs at one of the Foundation's partner universities
--submit to the Foundation a completed application form
--attend an interview if necessary
--Once awarded the fellowship, the candidate will be obliged to sign a legally binding contract with the Foundation as a guarantee that he/she will return to work in the Arab World for a minimum period of two years.
