Integrated Water Resource Management and Security in the Middle East
A NATO Advanced Study Institute held at the Arava Institute, February 6 - 17, 2006.
This Advanced Study Institute (ASI) was designed to introduce participants to the water and security issues in this part of the Middle East. By the end of the ASI, participants were shown an overall view of the geopolitical and hydro-political motivations of Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. They were introduced to regional problems as well as a variety of potential solutions. By the end of the conference, participants integrated the topics covered and considered options for collaborative research and networking.
