The Arava Institute Hazon Bike Ride in Israel - May 1-May 8, 2007

The Arava Institute Hazon Bike Ride is a yearly fundraising effort to promote environmental protection and regional cooperation in the Middle East. Riders from North America and Israel ride together over 300 miles from Jerusalem to Eilat.

The Arava Institute Hazon Israel Ride offers you the opportunity to support Israel while giving you a fantastic experience. In addition to the necessary pedaling, the ride includes educational stops presenting the riders with information about some of the environmental challenges Israel currently faces, as well as an illustration of the rich culture and history of the areas passed through. Midway through the Ride, we stop to enjoy a day of rest in the majestic desert at Mitzpe Ramon

The diverse Ride community includes individual cyclists, teams, families, couples and friends. The majority of staff are Jewish and Arab alumni of the Arava Institute.

The ride supports both the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Hazon and is co-sponsored by the Jewish National Fund.

Come join us in riding for peace, partnership and environmental protection, and experience Israel as you never have before.
